The 33-year-old blogger lives in this rented apartment with her husband, son and pet dog. This calm and tidy space would be ideal for any family, and can provide some inspiration.

Firstly, as we mentioned, the home has a warm, comfortable and efficient feel to it. A contrast to the grey structure of the city outside, it is impressive and indeed a welcoming surprise to find such peace within the home. Perhaps the most important reason for this calm atmosphere is the light furniture and walls. Additionally, the apartment is clutter-free, with no unnecessary items or non-functional decor.

When you step into the apartment the curtains, which are really in trend right now, immediately catch the eye. The yellow gives the room a flash of vibrancy and catches the eye. The choice of yellow gives the home a somewhat more playful and cute identity. In addition, the green plants - which we always underline in our other blogs - have been carefully placed in sunny spots, giving a fresh and natural look to the home which is certainly in line with today’s trends.

We can see how a large and spacious environment is created by using a neat corner sofa in a narrow space, rather than bulky seating. The comfortable looking light grey sofa is complemented by cushions, throws and other functional decor with nods to traditional Indian mythology. Taking a look at the carpet we can see a wide carpet is used, with soft and simple transitions, a style which is really on the rise this year.

When we move into the kitchen, a white space welcomes us. It is the ideal environment to hang your jacket but also to cook a meal or bake a cake. There’s nothing unproductive about the kitchen counter too, with bamboo being preferred for utensils. This small family has created a dining corner where they can enjoy the city view whilst having a conversation from their picnic-style bench table. Here a natural wood material is used to great effect.

In the blogger’s study we see the apartment’s general decor theme continues. A hanger is essential for the blogger's job and is used to hang clothes without looking messy. The bookcase, fireplace and two-person table in front are a great combination for a waiting area for the stylists’ models or muses.

In the room with the fireplace a slightly artificial appearance is created by choosing artificial fur instead of a large, thick carpet. The home-office corner with the computer completes the textile harmony of the room by being both plush and compatible.

Let’s move through to the bedroom, not forgetting that we are in an apartment. Since there aren’t large areas to play with, a ‘commode’ style chest of drawers is used to create more storage in a small space, completemed with other wooden and white furniture items. Gold detailing on the mirror contributes to the light reflection of the space. Bedside accessories and artworks are a continuation of the Indian style motifs we see in the living room.

The child’s room, despite being small and square-shaped, is cute and colourful and designed with a child’s spirit in mind. The idea of downsizing the child’s clothing unit on the wall is really well considered. Convenient shelves that are out of reach for the child also save space and add to the tidy appearance of the home.
